Welcome to Lift For Life. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use. Please review these terms carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our services.

1. Participation and Safety
Participation in any fitness event or training requires a physical assessment. You acknowledge that you are in good health and have no medical condition that would prevent your safe participation. You assume all risks associated with lifting activities.

2. Code of Conduct
We are a community built on mutual support and respect. Any behavior that undermines our mission to lift each other up, including harassment or discrimination, will result in immediate termination of membership or exclusion from events.

3. Donations and Fundraising
All donations made through Lift For Life are directed towards mental health awareness and crisis prevention initiatives. Donations are non-refundable once processed.

4. Intellectual Property
All content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of Lift For Life and protected by copyright laws.

5. Privacy Policy
Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our policy to understand our practices regarding your personal information.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the site following any such change constitutes your agreement to follow and accept.

24-HOUR DEADLIFT CHALLENGE Terms & Conditions of Participation By registering for, participating in, or attempting the 24-Hour Deadlift Challenge, all participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

 

1. Challenge Overview The 24-Hour Deadlift Challenge is an endurance-based fitness event designed to test participants’ physical strength, mental resilience, discipline, and commitment over a continuous 24-hour period. All participants must follow the official challenge rules, instructions issued by the organiser, and the terms outlined in this document.

 

2. Mandatory Zoom Attendance 1. All participants are required to join the official Zoom call before the challenge begins. 2. Participants must remain connected to the Zoom call for a minimum of 24 consecutive hours from the official start time.

 

3. Participants must keep their cameras switched on whenever reasonably required by the organiser for attendance verification, challenge monitoring, and safety checks.

 

4. Participants must not deliberately disconnect, leave the meeting, or use another person to represent them during the challenge.

 

5. Any technical issues, accidental disconnections, or unavoidable interruptions must be reported to the organiser as soon as possible.

 

6. The organiser reserves the right to verify attendance through Zoom participant records, check-ins, and other reasonable monitoring methods.

 

7. Failure to meet the 24-hour Zoom attendance requirement may result in disqualification, unless the organiser determines that an exception is justified.

 

8. Participants must not share the Zoom meeting link, password, or access details with unauthorised individuals.

 

9. Participant Eligibility 1. Participants must be at least 18 years old unless the organiser has expressly established a different eligibility policy with appropriate safeguards.

 

10. Participants must be physically capable of undertaking the challenge and must honestly assess their fitness and readiness.

 

11. Anyone with an injury, illness, medical condition, or other circumstance that could make participation unsafe should seek appropriate medical advice before taking part.

 

12. Participants must disclose any relevant safety concerns to the organiser where reasonably necessary.

 

13. The organiser reserves the right to refuse or terminate participation where there is a reasonable concern for a participant’s safety.

 

14. Deadlift Rules and Challenge Conduct 1. Participants must follow the official deadlift rules, repetition standards, equipment requirements, and judging procedures communicated before the challenge.

 

15. Only repetitions meeting the agreed technique and judging standards will count towards the challenge total.

 

16. Participants must use appropriate lifting equipment and a safe, suitable lifting environment.

 

17. Cheating, falsifying results, misrepresenting repetitions, or deliberately interfering with another participant’s performance is prohibited.

 

18. Participants must respect the organiser, judges, other competitors, and everyone present on the Zoom call.

 

19. The organiser’s decisions regarding scoring and rule enforcement will be final, subject to any published review or appeal procedure.

 

19. Health, Safety and Rest 1. Participants are responsible for monitoring their own physical condition throughout the challenge.

 

20. Adequate hydration, nutrition, rest periods, and appropriate recovery are strongly encouraged.

 

21. No participant is required to continue lifting when doing so would put their health or safety at risk.

 

22. Participants must immediately stop lifting if they experience chest pain, dizziness, faintness, unusual shortness of breath, severe pain, confusion, or other concerning symptoms, and seek appropriate medical assistance.

 

23. The organiser may suspend or stop a participant’s involvement if continuing appears unsafe.

 

24. The 24-hour challenge period does not mean participants must lift continuously for 24 hours. Lifting intervals, rest periods, and any limits on lifting frequency must follow the official challenge rules.

 

25. Participants must not use prohibited substances or engage in reckless behaviour to enhance performance or remain awake.

 

26. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk 1. Participation is voluntary and involves inherent risks associated with strenuous physical exercise and deadlifting, including muscle strains, joint injuries, back injuries, accidents, and other potentially serious medical complications.

 

27. Participants acknowledge these risks and agree to take reasonable steps to protect their own health and safety.

 

28. Participants must not treat the challenge as a substitute for professional medical advice or supervision.

 

29. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law. 7. Withdrawal and Disqualification 1. Participants may withdraw from the challenge at any time for any reason, including concerns about their health, safety, or wellbeing. 2. Participants who withdraw must notify the organiser as soon as reasonably practicable. 3. Withdrawal or failure to complete the challenge may affect eligibility for prizes, rankings, certificates, or other rewards, in accordance with the published challenge rules. 4. The organiser may disqualify a participant for cheating, serious misconduct, deliberate breaches of the Zoom attendance requirement, or repeated failure to follow reasonable safety instructions. 5. No participant will be penalised for stopping when continuing would pose a serious risk to their health or safety. 8. Internet Connection and Technical Requirements 1. Participants are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, a compatible device, and access to Zoom for the duration of the event. 2. Participants should ensure their devices are charged or connected to a reliable power source. 3. Technical issues must be communicated to the organiser promptly. 4. The organiser will determine how verified technical interruptions are handled, including whether attendance can be resumed or whether an exception is appropriate. 5. Participants acknowledge that internet outages and platform disruptions may occur and that uninterrupted connectivity cannot be guaranteed. 9. Conduct and Respect All participants must behave respectfully and responsibly throughout the challenge. Harassment, discrimination, threats, abusive conduct, dangerous behaviour, and disruption of the event will not be tolerated. The organiser may issue warnings, suspend participation, or disqualify anyone whose conduct compromises the safety or integrity of the event. 10. Photography, Video and Publicity Where the event is recorded, streamed, photographed, or used for promotional purposes, participants must be informed of the intended use of their image, voice, name, and performance footage. Any required consent must be obtained separately and appropriately. Participants should not record, distribute, or publish footage of other participants without the necessary permission. 11. Privacy and Zoom Monitoring 1. Participants’ personal information and attendance records will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection law. 2. The organiser should explain what information will be collected, why it is needed, who may access it, and how long it will be retained. 3. Participants must not share other attendees’ personal information, private messages, or meeting footage without appropriate authorisation. 4. Any recording of the Zoom call must be disclosed to participants, with an appropriate lawful basis and any required consent or notices in place. 12. Changes, Cancellation and Unforeseen Circumstances The organiser reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the challenge rules, schedule, format, or arrangements where necessary for safety, fairness, technical reasons, or circumstances beyond their control. Where possible, participants will be notified of significant changes in advance. If the event must be postponed or cancelled, the organiser will communicate the revised arrangements. 13. Prizes and Results Any prizes, awards, rankings, or rewards will be subject to the eligibility requirements and scoring criteria announced before the challenge begins. The organiser may withhold an award where there is credible evidence of cheating, falsified results, or a material breach of the rules. 14. Acceptance of Terms By signing up for or participating in the 24-Hour Deadlift Challenge, participants confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. Participants acknowledge that the challenge is physically demanding, that their health and safety remain a priority, and that they may stop participating whenever necessary to protect their wellbeing. be bound by the terms as changed.
